Things players must know:
* Strength gives +10% weapon and spell damage per level
* Body armor (including rags, sold by Gheed) unlocks several key abilities on your character, such as 
  - regeneration (Vit)
  - increased stamina (Dex)
  - increased defense (+1%/Dex)
* no free +mana/+life on level up
* Potions can not be bought
* Maximum level is 20
* Akara sells tokens of absolution (reset skills/stats)
* Protection on heavy armor reduces damage taken from enemies
* If you play...
  - Amazon: magic arrow costs no mana at level 1 and provides infinite ammo
  - Barbarian: double throw costs no mana at level 1 and provides infinite ammo
    Most attacks require two one-handed or one two-handed weapon
    Berserk does increase damage, but only once you have lost life
  - Sorceress: teleport cooldown reduces per level
* Some skills (e.g. impale, weapon mastery) become stronger based on strength
* You need to be level 20 to fight the ancients
* Our personal suggestions: 
  - do not play with /players
  - do not use cube recipes
  - do not fight monsters with much lower level than yourself (roughly 1-5 in act I, 6-10 in act II, 11-14 in act III, 15-16 in IV, 17-20 in V)
* Palimpsests give hints on cube recipes
* Main-quest items (Act 2/Act 3) are sold by vendors. Sometimes you need to leave and return for the game to realize you obtained the item
* No runewords, uniques, set items
* Other changes are obvious in-game
